You are telling us that the combi pictured is a 1969? Looks more like 63-67 to me. Since 1968 was the first year for the 'bay window', not the 'split window' as pictured. Unless of course VW kept this style into 1969(?) for some countries....?

It doesn't look like that anymore, mine is just a frame also. That pic is with my other DH parts while the frame was being powder coated white. The Sette is waiting for 2010 BoXXer and some other cool parts. Yer gonna love thhis thing, that Vivid 5.1 is soooosmooth and responsive. Keep me posted on the build. frame bumpers are shade tree, I know. I plan to buy new RS bumpers eventually. The old ODI grips are actually useful when modified in this manor.

I rode it to work, up the elevator and wheelied onto the production floor. It feels very nice and wants to be ridden. It's up for sale while it's so fresh and has that new bike smell!
